Functional Medicine, Weight Mgt, Bio-Identical Hormones | My Story
Functional medicine is leading a rapid evolution in medical treatment – a diagnostic focus on identifying the underlying causes of a disease or symptoms. The heart of this holistic approach begins with individual patient-centered care with one goal: Restoring your vibrant health and well-being. Dr. Noble draws on a range of scientific and medical disciplines to evaluate and treat the roots of your chronic disorder or illness.

“Illness is a dysfunction of the whole person - body, mind and spirit - or the environment in which they live, rather than simply a physical disorder or a random isolated event,” from the Principles of Integrative Holistic Medicine
As a young girl, I always loved accompanying my father on his hospital rounds. He enjoyed a personal relationship with his patients and he truly cared for them. I knew even then that I would follow a path into medicine, like the five generations of my family before me. I had yet to discover that Integrative Holistic Medicine was to be my path and my passion and a crucial part of my own life.
Evidence of the body’s ability to heal itself was unmistakable
Soon enough my turn came to begin medical school. The more I studied and observed, the more I was convinced of the body’s ability to heal itself, given the right environment and medical guidance. During my residency, I learned to use natural strategies to help my patients and to be more thoughtful about prescribing conventional medications.
The rigors of a resident’s life of sleepless nights, overwhelming work schedule, protocols, reports and rounds dominated my every hour. However, I never lost the integral part of me, feeling my patient’s energy and praying for the answers to help my patients heal and continue their life’s journey.
After completing medical studies, I took a position with Nova Southeastern University as Assistant Professor of Medicine. I truly enjoyed teaching and the enthusiasm of the students. However, I became increasingly frustrated with the conventional medical focus treating discrete symptoms over the complexity of human systems as a whole.
“Out of difficulties grow miracles.” Jean de la Bruyere
That the universe often intervenes in inexplicable ways certainly describes my journey. I might have continued at the university, and my love of teaching, if a series of family and personal medical crises hadn’t intervened to push me in new directions. I sadly resigned from the university and devoted myself to homelife with our growing brood of 3 babies.
The year after giving birth to my third child, I developed Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a severe and sometimes disabling form of premenstrual syndrome (PMS). Doctors prescribed a series of medications, and each one made me feel worse. One day, sitting in the middle of GNC, I hit a wall. After years of dedicated education and medical practice, I lacked the essential knowledge of natural strategies, supplements and nutrition to even help myself. That’s when I resolved to get my life back, and Integrative, Functional and Holistic medicine became my passions.
Integrative Holistic Medicine Means Relationship-Centered Care
In 2006, I attended The Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine and was thrilled to realize that I wasn’t alone. I went on to become an Advanced Fellow in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine, in addition to a specialty in Internal Medicine.
In 2009, I founded the Noble Center for Healthy Aging to bring these advanced medical alternatives to a broader community and to help others to avoid the isolating suffering I know too well. And in a roundabout way, I have returned to my love of teaching. Everyday my goal is to help my patients on their individual pathways towards lives of health and vitality.
